The Private Nature Reserve El Silencio is a cattlefarm located in a beautiful and safe place in the Eastern Andes, 90 min. from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. There, you will find remnants of andean cloudforest and oak forest (Quercus humbodtii) which now are protected.

The Private Nature Reserve El Silencio is a magical place with a beautiful landscape, where you can enjoy walking, exploring the forest, birdwatching, horseback riding, milking the cows and fishing.

At the Private Nature Reserve El Silencio we offer accomodations in a comfortable two-bedroom old country house, named Refugio Alto del Yaque. We also have places for camping.
